LONGVIEW, Texas — A new 100-room Residence Inn by Marriott is preparing to welcome guests in Longview, bringing a new extended-stay lodging option and approximately 25 initial jobs to the city’s Interstate 20 corridor.

Located at 3661 Estes Parkway, the new hotel is owned by Palisades Hospitality and was developed and will be managed by Lodging Host Hotel Corp., a Longview-based hospitality company founded in 1984.

The Residence Inn Longview is anticipated to open later this year and is designed to serve both business and leisure travelers, with a particular focus on guests staying for several nights or longer.

The hotel is expected to initially employ approximately 25 team members, with staffing levels having the potential to grow as the property ramps up operations and demand develops.

The hotel is expected to welcome corporate travelers, project teams, construction and work crews, relocating families, traveling professionals and visitors doing business throughout Longview and the surrounding East Texas region.

“Longview has been home to Lodging Host for more than four decades, so being able to develop a property like this in our own community is especially meaningful to us,” said Kevin Hilchey, President and COO of Lodging Host Hotel Corp. “We believe in the continued growth of Longview and East Texas, and we’re excited to bring a high-quality extended-stay Marriott product to the market.”

Designed for Longer Stays

The Residence Inn Longview will feature 100 spacious suites designed to give guests additional room to live, work and relax during longer stays.

Property amenities will include:

  • Indoor swimming pool

  • State-of-the-art fitness center

  • Lobby bar and social gathering area

  • Outdoor grilling area

  • Outdoor fire pit and gathering space

  • Outdoor putting green

  • Complimentary high-speed internet access

  • Flexible public spaces for work and relaxation

The property’s combination of extended-stay accommodations and recreational and social amenities is designed to serve travelers who may be in Longview for days, weeks or longer.

The onsite lobby bar will also give guests a place to relax or meet with coworkers without leaving the hotel.

A Hometown Development

Construction on the Residence Inn Longview began in 2024.

For Lodging Host, the project represents more than another hotel development. The company was founded in Longview in 1984 and remains headquartered in the community today.

Over the past four decades, Lodging Host has developed, managed and operated hotels across multiple brands and markets while continuing to maintain its roots in East Texas.

“This project is another opportunity for us to invest in the community where our company began,” Hilchey said. “Longview continues to attract business activity, projects and travelers from across the region, and we believe this hotel will be an important addition to the local hospitality market.”

The new Residence Inn will provide convenient access to Interstate 20 as well as Longview’s business districts, industrial areas, healthcare facilities, restaurants, retail and other destinations throughout the city.

Its extended-stay format is particularly well suited for companies with employees working temporarily in Longview for construction, training, relocation, industrial projects and other long-term assignments.

The hotel is currently accepting inquiries and advance reservations for upcoming corporate, project and crew stays.

Additional information regarding the hotel’s official opening date, hiring opportunities and opening events will be announced as the property approaches completion.
